    The people behind the academy: 

    • Tiffany Garbutt, Administrator

      Tiffany brings over 23 years of administrative experience to her role as Care Administrator. She began her career in the motor finance industry where she spent 15 years developing strong organizational and administrative skills, followed by experience as an NHS Administrator and a further eight years in the motor industry.

      After a career break, Tiffany transitioned into the care sector as a Visiting Carer, which gave her valuable insight into the realities of care work and the qualities needed to succeed in the industry. This hands-on experience deepened her understanding of recruitment from both employer and employee perspectives.

    • Sue Waldron, Manager

      As Manager of Bury Care Academy, my focus is helping people grow and helping organisations deliver great care. I bring over 40 years of experience in social care, training and provider support, and I understand the real challenges faced by staff, managers and new entrants.

    • John Douglas, Recruitment Partner

      John brings more than ten years of experience in talent acquisition across in-house, RPO and agency environments, giving him a well-rounded understanding of effective recruitment and workforce needs. His expertise in stakeholder engagement, data analysis and strategic hiring enables him to build strong talent pipelines, streamline processes and reduce reliance on external agencies.

      He is deeply committed to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion, ensuring recruitment practices support fair and inclusive outcomes. 

    • Laura Ross, Recruitment Partner

      As a specialist in high-volume, entry-level and mid-level hiring across education and customer operations related sectors, Laura brings 8 years of extensive experience in end-to-end recruitment, from client and candidate management to strengthening employer branding across job boards and LinkedIn. 

    • Jonathan Rossiter, Marketing and Communications

      Jonathan brings 7 years of combined experience in marketing and communications, with a First Class Honours degree in Media and Marketing. Having worked across the sales and recruitment sectors, he has developed a diverse skill set spanning video production and editing, photography, graphic design, website management, and social media strategy.

      Jonathan loves bringing ideas to life through creative marketing campaigns that connect with people across different platforms. Whether it's designing graphics, shooting videos, or managing social media, he's all about telling stories that resonate and help achieve real results.
